I have learnt a lot recently about composition, focal points, colour theory, connotations etc..
However with the hefty workload I am under I dont have the time to put most of it to practice unless I am doing a paintover.
This took me around 10-15mins to do, if I were to spend more time on it I would put another light source behind the zombie which would make him pop out a bit more (3 point lighting).
Can’t wait to do more of these myself, from scratch.
Edit: Huw, not Hew… What was I thinking? Not much it seems.

There was freshers week and then I was ill and now I am slightly ill but less ill than when I said I was ill.
I am going to try my best to get back into the habbit of posting work each day.
Today in our lecture we had to paint over an image and do some shiz. So here it is.

Packing this computer up for Uni tonight so it’s all ready for tomorrow morning, nice and organised.
Which also means I wont be able to post today pictures at all… I will however be going to bed fairly soon (Very early for me) and sit with the light on drawing some extracts from a book I am reading. I will try to post up the results tomorrow, but I have an extremely busy day tomorrow.
Technically I am breaking my own rules but in other senses I am not, I am still doing a 2D piece everyday, just not posting it.
Did a bit more work on this one. I might see if I can fit in another one in a bit, I might also work on this more, extent the canvas upward and do some sky or something.
However, got lots of packing to do! :|
Still working on this, this isn’t a huge load of work… Been too busy :( Will try finish it tomorrow.

Today I bought a printer, fitted 2 computers, installed lots of software, packed some things and went out shopping for more things. Been sooo very busy, I haven’t had time to sitdown and do my daily drawing. However, as I said, I will post something everyday, and I dont plan on breaking that. So within the next few hours I will be doing a speed painting of an environment I think, or perhaps a prop in perspective.
This task is going to be hard this coming week… I am afraid I might not find the time :O
I will do my best to carry it on, just means staying up a few hours more before I sleep.
It’s been quite a lazy day today, been hard to find inspiration and motivation. I drew quite a lot though but just ended up deleting a lot of the things I was making. Perhaps I should take a break from design and go back to trying to do some more environments.
Working on some spaceship designs, but mainly testing my speed and tonal blending.
Didn’t get much time to do stuff today either :(
Did a little more to this thing though and I will work a bit more now. Busy day tomorrow too, busy week.. Preparing for uni.
